What does the TSh 5,000 actually pay for?
30 days of access to the agent contacts on every listing in the app. You can call, WhatsApp and book viewings as many times as you need during that month.
How does the reservation work?
When you have chosen a home, you pay a reservation of 30% of one month’s rent in the app. The owner’s contact details are then shared with you and the home is taken off KodiSmart so nobody else can take it. You pay the rent to the owner directly.
Which payment methods can I use?
Mobile money: Mixx by Yas, Airtel Money and HaloPesa. You get a prompt on your phone and confirm with your PIN.
What if the house is not as described?
Report the listing from the app. Our team checks it with the agent and their Meneja, and contacts you about a refund if one is due.
Which areas do you cover?
For now, Dar es Salaam only: Kinondoni, Ubungo, Ilala, Temeke and Kigamboni. Other cities will follow once we have agents there.
How are agents paid?
When a tenant reserves a home you listed, you earn a commission. Our finance team checks every commission, and approved earnings are sent to your mobile money number on the 25th of each month.
